The International Society on Aptamers (INSOAP) was founded by Professor Said Ismail (Amman, Jordan) and Dr Muhammad Sohail (Oxford, UK) in late 2013 and was formally inaugurated at the first International Aptamers symposium, Aptamers 2014, on 24th March 2014 at St Edmund Hall, Oxford (UK). It is hoped that the Society would serve as a focal point for academic and industry researchers in the rapidly progressing and expanding field of aptamers.
Aims of INSOAP
–Provide a focal point to aptamer researchers
–Facilitate collaboration and exchange of ideas and information between academic and industry researchers
–Organise an annual meeting of aptamer researchers
–Support young apatmer researchers by providing travel grants to attend the society’s annual meeting
